Vintage 1998 Champagne
A great champagne which will be the
perfect accompaniment to elegant apéritif receptions
and also to light fish dishes served with delicate citrus
sauce or to white meats.
Ready to be consumed now but as with all Ruinart vintages,
this wine will keep in a good cellar for a good few
years when it will then be best matched with stronger
flavour dishes or as an after meal drink.
A blend of 47% Chardonnay and 53% Premier Cru Pinot
Pale golden yellow colour. Beautiful fine bubbles. Fine
and sustained mousse forming a beautiful stream of beads
around the glass
Light and very delicate nose of average intensity but
developing at ambient temperature. Notes of exotic citrus
fruits with slight trace of brioche and yellow fruits
such as peach.
Good intensity, round and well-balanced in the mouth.
Long and sustained finish. A beautiful vintage positioning
itself well in the classic vintage characteristics of
Ruinart, combining finesse, elegance and freshness.
